• 2 p.m. - The Sixth Annual Recruitment and Retention Conference at the Radisson Mart Plaza Hotel, 711 N.W. 72nd Ave., Miami. The conference, "Leaving Imprints on the Sands of Time," is sponsored by the Florida Fund for Minority Teachers, Inc., which was created to counteract the disturbing statistics that indicate a disparity between the number of minority teachers and students in the state.
