"Parents, our community, and the school
district must work together to improve student achievement
through reading. District 1 embarked on the "Read
to Lead" initiative with the firm belief that reading
expands students' ability to articulate thoughts, write,
compute, and think. Reading also enlarges one's world
and creates a vision for those who may not of had one,"
said Dr. Robert lngram. "May these reading adventures
awaken each child and spark an interest in learning and
a lifelong reading habit."
