Dr.
Robert B. Ingram, Board Member for District 1, was among
the speakers welcoming 45 teachers to the Justice Teaching
Institute, last Friday morning at the Courthouse Center,
175 N.W. 1 Ave.
The l lth Judicial Circuit and Miami-Dade
County Public Schools cosponsor this biannual institute
to promote law-related education and to provide students
with the knowledge of our court system. The institute's
agenda is geared toward activities that build character
and incorporate law-related lessons into practical experiences.
Created by Chief Justice Joseph Farina, this unique program
is the first of its kind in Florida and perhaps the country.
"This program proves to our community
that this partnership is determined to discuss thoroughly
with our students the consequences of making wrong decisions
while educating them on doing the right thing," said
Dr. lngram.
