MIAMI
- Miami-Dade County School Board Member Dr. Robert B.
Ingram (District 1) took Miami-Dade and Broward Counties
by storm last week participating in a variety of activities.
On Sunday, February 14, he delivered the
opening message "There is Hope" at the NAACP's
installation ceremony at New Birth Baptist Church. On
February 16, Dr. Ingram gave a creative and dynamic presentation
at Florida Memorial College on the life of one of the
college's outstanding graduates Harry T. Moore.
On February 17, Dr. Ingram disseminated
vital information about the "Church's Role in Economic
Development" at the Fort Lauderdale District Conference
held Wednesday, at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in Dania. He
also presented the conference's opening message "Stooping
when you ought to be Standing."
Dr. Ingram finished the week as keynote
speaker at the Miami Community Police Benevolent Association's
installation ceremony by charging his listeners to "Remember
on whose shoulders they are standing."
Additionally, the Board Member, Professor
& Chairman of The Division of Extension & Continuing
Education at Florida Memorial College launched a "Read
to Lead" campaign that can be accessed on the Internet
