Dr.
Robert B. Ingram, Miami-Dade County School Board Member
for District 1, was the guest speaker at the Amaranth Banquet
and Queen Pageant, held at the Renaissance Miami Biscayne
Bay Hotel on July 30.
The
banquet and Queen Pageant, hosted by the Alpha Mary Jackson
Amaranth Court #1 and Rudolph D. Lane Lodge of Perfection,
was a part of a weeklong celebration that drew participants
from around the country.
Dr.
Ingram's speech challenged the prestigious organization
to use its honorary reputation to groom a new generation
of black leaders.
